Redesigned for speed and efficiency, the TOEFL iBT® (internet-based test) continues to uphold its rigorous standards.

Test Structure

  • Total Duration: Less than 2 hours

  • Reading (~35 mins): Academic passages with comprehension questions

  • Listening (~36 mins): Lectures and conversations with follow-up questions

  • Speaking (~16 mins): Record verbal responses to academic prompts

  • Writing (~29 mins): Integrated task + opinion essay

Available both online (Home Edition) and at authorized test centers worldwide, it also allows you to send your highest combined scores through the MyBest® Score option.

Scoring System

  • Each section: 0–30; Total score: 0–120

  • 110–120: Exceptional (Top universities)

  • 100–109: Strong for top 100 universities

  • 90–99: Good for most global programs

  • 80–89: Minimum for many undergraduate programs

  • <80: May be accepted for diploma/alternative tracks
